Cassidy's Bio
I serve as an instructor in the Radiography and Medical Imaging program at Clarkson College, where I focus on helping students build both technical competence and clinical confidence. My teaching centers on creating engaging, approachable learning experiences that connect classroom concepts to real-world practice. Drawing from my clinical background, I emphasize critical thinking while fostering a supportive environment that encourages growth, curiosity, and professional development.

Prior to entering education, I worked as a medical radiographer for four years, followed by two years as a radiation therapist. During this time, I also served as a clinical preceptor for radiation therapy students for approximately two years, which sparked my passion for mentoring and supporting students as they transition from the classroom into clinical practice.

I continued my education by earning a bachelor’s degree in Radiation Therapy and a master’s degree in Health Professions Teaching and Technology from the University of Nebraska Medical Center. This advanced training strengthened both my clinical expertise and my ability to design effective, student-centered learning experiences.

I previously served as the student representative for the Nebraska Society of Radiologic Technologists (NSRT) through the UNMC Radiation Therapy program from 2021–2022. She now serves as Vice President of the Nebraska Society of Radiologic Technologists, where she is committed to advancing the profession through advocacy, continuing education, and professional engagement. As both an educator and imaging professional, she is passionate about supporting technologists across Nebraska and helping ensure they feel represented and connected within their field.
