Update: April 15, 2026

LB 936 was amended to LB 912 with a number of health-related bills earlier this month. On April 10, LB 912 including its amendments passed and is awaiting the Governor's approval.

The NSRT is still committed to ensuring the Nurse Practitioner's receive adequate education prior to performing any fluoroscopy exams and has been assured by the authors of LB936 that we will be involved in the regulatory discussion that will take place within the NEDHHS and Board of Nursing. We will keep our members updated as more information becomes available.

Update: March 17, 2026

On Thurs 3/12/26, Senator Ballard introduced an amendment (AM2578) to LB912 - one of the HHS Committee Priority Bills. This amendment contained the provisions of LB936 and was adopted. This means LB 936 is now part of LB912 and we will be watching LB912 which has been advanced from General File to Select File by the Legislature.
